The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care throughout the perioperative patient journey. This role gives you the opportunity to work in Pre-Operative Assessment, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Phase 2 Recovery/Discharge . The RN will work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive high-quality care throughout their surgical journey. Confirm patient identity, procedure, consent, and readiness for surgery in accordance with established protocols. Obtain and document vital signs and other required pre-operative assessments. Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery and provide education regarding the procedure, recovery, and discharge expectations. Establish IV access and administer medications and treatments as ordered. Identify and escalate any clinical concerns or changes in patient condition to the appropriate physician or anesthesiologist.
