Job Summary

High School Math/Science Teacher/Tutor Wanted at Oxford Learning Ocean Park. This part‑time role supports students in grades 9–12 with math and science. The position is in‑person, scheduled after‑school, evenings, and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities
Teach up to three students simultaneously at varying levels.
Use Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies in all lessons.
Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Final‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience considered.
Teaching certification is an asset.
Solid knowledge of current Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

Experience
Teaching/tutoring experience with students aged 14–18.
Robust written and oral communication skills in English.
Solid mathematical proficiency and ability to explain concepts.




Ability to multitask and manage up to three students at a time.

Commitment

Work during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm–7:00 pm) Monday–Friday, with some Saturday availability (10:00 am–3:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the June term is preferred; continuing through the summer is an advantage. Reliability is required.

Location & Eligibility

The role is in‑person at Oxford Learning Ocean Park. Applicants must be able to commute to Surrey, BC, and reside within a short distance of the Ocean Park area. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Compensation & Schedule
Job type: Part‑time
Pay: $18–$20 per hour
Schedule: Evenings, Monday to Friday, Saturday availability
