High School Math/Science Teacher/Tutor

Oxford Learning Kitchener South is seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors to work after‑school and evening hours Monday‑Thursday (4:00‑8:00 pm). All lessons are pre‑planned; you will receive training in our proprietary philosophy and methods. The role is in‑person, requires commuting to the location, and a one‑year commitment.

Position Requirements
Available to work Monday‑Thursday evenings (4‑8 pm).
One‑year commitment.
Must have reliable transportation to the Kitchener site.
Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.
Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Kitchener area.

Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Fourth‑year university students with tutoring experience considered.
Teaching certification is an asset.
Good knowledge of Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum (e.g., Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

Experience and Skills




Experience teaching/tutoring math and science at Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent).
Strong English written and oral communication skills.
Robust math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Responsibilities
Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Fill in post‑lesson notes.
Complete daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
