Become a vital part of the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council as a Mental Health Counsellor based in Tofino. Provide transformative counselling for individuals and families, integrating cultural values.

This full time, permanent position requires extensive travel to remote locations and a deep understanding of Quu’asa values. You will offer counselling services aimed at community wellness while coordinating with service providers to improve mental health outcomes. You will also ensure meticulous record-keeping via EMR and develop effective delivery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and conduct community counselling visits
• Develop coordination strategies for service delivery
• Maintain accurate EMR files and statistical reports




• Travel for community-based counselling when necessary
• Provide services grounded in Quu’asa traditions

Requirements:
• Master's degree in Counselling or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Qualified registration in counselling or psychology
• Knowledge of Nuu-chah-nulth healing methods
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
