ResponsibilitiesRepresent owners and clients by providing leadership, oversight, and direction, managing individual and/or multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver full project life‑cycle solutions for clients.Manage all facets of a project and take direct accountability for delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, procurement, quality and risk objectives are met and exceeded.Interact and coordinate the activities of consultants and contractors, providing direction on behalf of the owner.Develop and implement a communication plan, maintain written reports and meeting minutes, and track progress and status of each project.Prepare scope of work, request for proposal documents, cost estimates and budget, work‑plan schedule and milestones, quality control procedures, and risk identification.Work with Building Consultant team (PA&M;) to identify risks in project estimates, verify scope of work, and deliver the required class of estimate for clients in the insurance sector.Attend insurance loss assessments to verify scope and assist with estimating exercises.Work with clients on a consultancy basis to determine specific project details.Maintain historical databases of labour rates, material pricing and project costs for future reference.Review third‑party estimates for accuracy and report via technical narrative to clients.QualificationsArchitectural and/or Engineering degree or equivalent technical training.8–10 years’ experience/knowledge of construction,
design and management of projects.5+ years’ experience in the insurance restoration industry.5+ years of experience and knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies, techniques, and construction contracts.PMP designation is an asset.Estimating experience in Lump Sum, Construction Management and T&M; contracts is essential.Experience completing own‑force estimates, including selective demolition, rough carpentry, concrete and formwork.Solid understanding of insurance, restoration, construction beyond estimating, including scheduling, risk assessment, constructability and market conditions.Working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating and construction contracts.Experience with Xactimate Software is an asset.The salary range for this role is $80,000 – $100,000.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementWe are an equal‑opportunity employer.
