Job OverviewSenior Data Architect will design new workflows and business processes to optimize and simplify collaboration between Stantec Project Managers and Project Accountants (PM2PA). This role focuses on enhancing and integrating existing applications, including the on‑premises Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) database and potential integration with Oracle Cloud services.Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture Strategy:Develop and drive the overall data architecture strategy for PM2PA, including designing scalable data models, data integration workflows, and governance frameworks that meet enterprise standards. Ensure the architecture supports current and future business needs with an emphasis on data quality, consistency, and governance.Oracle EBS & Cloud Integration:Lead the future integration of PM2PA business processes and workflows with Oracle Fusion Cloud. Architect solutions for data exchange between EBS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Oracle Cloud applications, using tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Oracle SOA Suite to ensure seamless end‑to‑end business processes.System Performance & Maintenance:Oversee performance optimization, scalability, and reliability of the PM2PA data flows. Tune Oracle databases or other key data sources, optimize application performance, and plan capacity for growth. Ensure effective data storage, indexing, retrieval mechanisms, and disaster recovery/high‑availability solutions.Security and Compliance:Ensure robust data security measures and compliance protocols are implemented across PM2PA, Oracle EBS, and integrated cloud environments.Cross‑Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with IT Infrastructure & Operations, Oracle Database Administrators, Software Solutions developers, Business Analysts, and Project Management to plan and execute PM2PA data‑related projects.



Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, coordinating data migration during EBS upgrades or cloud adoption initiatives, and communicating clearly with non‑technical stakeholders.Experience & Qualifications- 10+ years in data architecture, data analysis, or similar IT roles, with significant hands‑on experience designing and implementing solutions in Oracle E‑Business Suite environments. Proven track record leading complex integration projects or ERP data initiatives in large organizations.- In‑depth knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 modules, database, and architecture. Familiarity with multiple EBS functional areas (e.G., GL, AP, AR, Project Billing, Human Capital Management) and their data structures.- Strong data modeling skills (relational 3NF, dimensional star schema). Experience designing entity‑relationship models and documenting them. Knowledge of data warehouse architecture and modelling.- Experience with Oracle integration technologies: OIC, SOA Suite, Service Bus, ODI, REST/SOAP APIs. Ability to build data interfaces and synchronize data between EBS and other applications.- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including deployment of applications, use of ADW or other Oracle Cloud databases, and cloud networking (VPN, FastConnect).- Familiarity with enterprise data management tools and practices: data cleansing, MDM, data standards, dictionaries, governance policies.- Experience with reporting and analytics tools that complement Oracle EBS (OBIEE, Discoverer,



Analytics Cloud). Knowledge of SQL reporting tools or ad‑hoc query tools.- Proficiency in Linux, shell scripting, Python, and EBS administrative utilities. Broad understanding of the application tier helps design holistic solutions.- Knowledge of architecture best practices, design patterns, and frameworks such as TOGAF, microservices, API‑led or event‑driven architecture.- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
