Support the City of Melfort's public works as a seasonal labourer this August through November. You'll partake in essential tasks that contribute to community improvements and infrastructure upkeep.
As a full-time seasonal worker, you'll play a crucial role in the Public Works team, helping with street maintenance, cemetery grounds upkeep, and managing the compost site. This position is an excellent chance for those interested in hands-on work within a supportive framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in patching and maintaining city streets
• Conduct maintenance on city signage and assist with painting
• Keep cemetery grounds well maintained, including grass trimming




• Guide customers at the compost site for productive service
• Ensure equipment is operational and protected to use
Requirements:
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and abstract
• Physically able to handle lifting tasks up to 30 lbs
• Successful completion of criminal and vulnerable sector checks
• Experience with light motor vehicles beneficial
• Ability to understand instructions with minimal oversight
