This role focuses on maintaining metadata, supporting workflow development, and coordinating day-to-day data governance operations. Data Management or a related fieldA minimum of 3 years of property assessment–related experience, with strong knowledge of business processes and enterprise data structuresExperience with data governance standards, policies, and best practices and toolsKnowledge of relevant legislation (e.G., Assessment Act, Municipal Act) and the ability to interpret contracts and agreementsFamiliarity with assessment terminology, property assessment and taxation legislation, and technology-based assessment productsStrong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills to review, evaluate, and interpret data using software/languages like Power BI, Python, SAS, Java, SQL, etcExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsProven ability to collaborate, build relationships, and manage sensitive or non-compliance issues with sound judgmentStrong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointWhat you will do:Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s data governance tools and framework, including policies, standards, procedures, workflows and quality controlsAssist in maintaining the data governance roadmap and coordinating activities of the Data Governance Working GroupResearch systems and processes, profile data, and validate data quality requirements to improve operational efficiencyMaintain and enhance data governance tools, metrics, and documentation to ensure transparency, traceability, and effective communicationMonitor and track data change requests, ensuring compliance with governance workflows and change management processesSupport compliance efforts by monitoring adherence to policies, standards,
