Position ScopeNACG are seekingRigid and Articulating Truck Operatorsto join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to$48.74/houras well as room for growth!Where You’ll Be WorkingSite: Fort HillsSchedule: 14 x 7 weekly shift (paid for 12 hours). 14 days on, 7 off. 14 nights on, 7 off.Accommodations: Camp is provided.Transportation: Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955. and Volvo)Complete pre-use equipment inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating conditionComplete field level risk/hazard assessments prior to tasks and as tasks change.Participate in the safe fueling and servicing of equipmentInteract with loading and dumping equipmentFollow mine driving rulesInteract with other contractor and client equipmentEnsure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards, and proceduresUse adequate and suitable safety equipment, including all required PPEReviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment prior to job commencement and follow all requirementsReport any necessary repairs to the maintenance team or supervisorsReport all incidents, near misses or damage immediatelyQualificationsMinimum of 1 year experience working on 777, 785, 793 Haul Trucks/Articulated Haul TrucksMinimum one year experience in mining atmospherePotential to run rigid frame tricks as requiredA safety-first attitudeAttentive and possess strong listening skillsHigh school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.Be proficient in English, both verbally and writtenHave a valid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseCSO CertificationSilica AwarenessWood Buffalo Wildlife AwarenessHydroden SulphideOHS Alberta Legislation AwarenessField ErgonomicsEEO StatementNorth American Construction Group acknowledges that we perform work on the Traditional Treaty 6 and 8 Territories, home to the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux and Nakota Sioux, and the Metis.
