Service Rentals & Sales is seeking an organized and customer-focused Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of its service department. The successful candidate will provide leadership to service staff, coordinate workflow and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This position requires strong parts knowledge, leadership ability and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the service department
Supervise, coach, train and support service staff
Schedule and assign work to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
Monitor workflow, service quality, productivity and completion times
Provide excellent customer service and address concerns professionally
Maintain accurate service records, reports and documentation
Assist with managing parts inventory,
expenses and departmental budgets
Ensure company policies, safety requirements and quality standards are followed
Work closely with the sales and operations departments
Review performance information and prepare reports as required
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability
Required Skills
Parts knowledge is required
Three to five years of service management or supervisory experience is considered an asset
Robust leadership and team-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer-service and conflict-resolution abilities
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to plan, prioritize and make sound decisions in a busy workplace
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and service-management software
Ability to review performance information and prepare accurate reports
Dependable, qualified and able to work effectively as part of a team
