Support adults in need by becoming a Cook at Lookout Housing and Health Society. This part time role requires menu planning and strict adherence to safety standards while serving vulnerable populations.

You will work on weekends at The Junction-Courtenay, preparing nutritious meals and maintaining a protected kitchen workplace. Your skills will help in managing volunteers and overseeing meal service, all while fostering a supportive atmosphere for our community’s most challenged individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cook and serve meals, snacks, and beverages
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
• Oversee and assist volunteers in the kitchen
• Execute menu plans and manage supply orders
• Follow all health and safety guidelines

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and a Cooking Diploma
• Two years of relevant culinary experience
• FOODSAFE and Occupational First Aid certificates
• Ability to handle daily tasks independently
• Criminal Record Check for Vulnerable Sector
