The SSST works collaboratively to identify student needs, develop intervention strategies, and monitor student progress to ensure all students receive support they need to succeed Review and discuss students concerns Identify academic, behavioral, social, or emotional challenges affecting students learning Develop and recommend strategies and interventions to support students A Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching degree A valid provincial teaching certificate/license Classroom teaching experience, with experience supporting students with diverse needs Knowledge of inclusive education, differentiated instruction, behavior support strategies, IEP development and implementation,
assessment and progress monitoring Robust communication skills Ability to work effectively with student, families, staff and multidisciplinary teams Monitor students and adjust support plans Connect students and families with additional school and community supports when needed Document meeting discussions, plan and follow up actions collaborate with principal or vice principal and teachers Ensure EAs are supporting students according to their plans Plan and provide targeted reading interventions for tier 3 students Request and complete Jordans principal funding for additional EAs
