The primary focus of the team is reacting to anomalies presented through various monitoring tools. This is a Tier 1 / 1.5Network Operationssupport role within a fast-paced production environment. The team supports LAN, MAN, WAN, RLAN, Wireless, Firewall, Load Balancer, and Optical solutions, ensuring high availability and operational stability.Department OverviewOperations Support Group (Network Operations) provides 24/7 dual-site coverage and frontline monitoring and support for critical network infrastructure.



The team operates in a high-availability environment and requires strong attention to detail and rapid incident response capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day deliverables during shift under direction of the NOC Shift LeaderEnsure smooth takeover and handover between shifts with robust documentationProvide strong technical support while following NOC processes and proceduresProper use of automation and remediation proceduresMaintain high-quality ticket updates and vendor communicationsManage incident queue and prioritize based on critical devices and shared servicesEngage L2/L3 teams and third-party vendors as neededParticipate in high-priority (P2) incident callsSupport incident, change, and problem management processesEscalate significant issues promptly to Shift Leader/ManagerManage chronic, repeat, and aging incidents with proper escalationCreate MoPs and how-to documentation; peer review documentationIdentify automation opportunities to reduce manual effortReport process gaps, vendor challenges, and operational issuesHelp develop team members and provide feedback and recognitionRequired Experience3–5 years of experience in Network Operations / Production environmentCCNP certified with minimum 3 years of troubleshooting experience OR CCNA certified with minimum 5 years of troubleshooting experienceStrong troubleshooting / break-fix experienceCisco routing and switching experienceExperience in Network Analyst or Network Operations roleStrong understanding of TCP/IP and telecommunications conceptsNice-to-Have ExperienceCisco Viptela SDWAN / Aruba SDWANCisco ACIPalo Alto FirewallsF5 Load BalancersVMware NSXCCDP and ITIL certificationsRequired SkillsCisco Routing & SwitchingNetwork Troubleshooting / Break-FixIncident & Queue ManagementPreferred SkillsSDWAN (Cisco Viptela / Aruba Silverpeak)Palo Alto FirewallsF5 Load BalancersVMware NSXNetwork Monitoring Tools (SevOne, Infoblox, ExtraHop, ThousandEyes)Additional SkillsStrong team player, self-motivated, highly organizedAbility to multi-task in fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsSound second-level problem determination skillsExperience with LAN, MAN, WAN, RLAN, Wireless, Firewall, Optical networksAbility to assess risk and escalate appropriatelyEducation & CertificationsTechnology Degree/Diploma or equivalent work experienceCCNP (R&S;) with minimum 3 years experience ORCCNA with minimum 5 years experienceCCDP and ITIL certifications are assetsAbout the ClientTop 10 bank in Canada and North America offering comprehensive financial solutions.
