Position Overview

The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They must also keep the stock room organized, maintained, and clean.

Customer Experience
First Impressions: Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code.
Store Standards: Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment in the stock room and on the selling floor.

Inventory Control
Shipment Management: Notify management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns in the stock room.
Merchandise Handling: Sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise as needed.
Stock Organization: Prepare new goods for the selling floor and replenish merchandise from the stock room.
Operations: Execute transfers, RTVs (Return to Vendor), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends.
Stock Room Maintenance: Keep the stock room organized, clean, and merchandise floor‑ready at all times.

Cooperation & Dependability
Task Completion: Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management.
Punctuality: Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.
Teamwork: Work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
Policy Adherence: Follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties.





Miscellaneous Responsibilities
Meetings and Functions: Attend all store meetings and related functions.
Positive Attitude: Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
Inventory Participation: Participate in all inventories.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
Physical Requirements: Lift heavy items in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.

Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.
Team Player: Work well in a team‑oriented workplace.
Flexible Schedule: Work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Stamina: Walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
