Addiction best practices will be utilized to improve client outcomes. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Chemical Dependency diploma Other Education and Training - Bachelor of Chemical Dependency is acceptable Competencies - Computer skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Knowledge of community resources in the addictions field. - Accurately triage addiction(s), collectively develop a recovery and case plan. - Knowledge in Transtheoretical model of change - Knowledge in holistic addictions treatment model - Knowledge of therapeutic tools such as Motivational Interviewing and CBT. - Ability to deliver workshops and lecture material to clients. - Knowledge in group dynamics - Knowledge in best practices in addictions and harm reduction strategies - Ability to communicate effe...
