OverviewAbout this opportunity: The Interior Services Administrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the Manager, Interior Services. This role may also support other units under the purview of the Associate Director of Operations and Facilities Services. The position is an essential point of contact for departmental staff and acts as a liaison to the greater Facilities Management group as well as other central university service providers. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assembling employee leave information and employment contracts, supporting the recruiting process, and providing general administrative duties including ordering supplies, file/database maintenance, and organizing internal meetings and events.ResponsibilitiesProvide clerical and administrative support to the Manager, Interior Services and other units as needed.Assemble employee leave information and employment contracts; support the recruiting process.Arrange and organize internal meetings and events; handle supplies and file/database maintenance.Serve as a liaison within Facilities Management and with central university service providers.QualificationsExperience:This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to two years’ experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment, preferably within Facilities Management or a related industry.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and respectful working and learning workplace; ability to prioritize and manage time with attention to detail; problem solving using judgment, independent thinking, and analysis; ability to interpret policies and procedures; effective communicationwith diverse audiences; experience composing business communications (correspondence, memos, reports, and spreadsheets); experience scheduling meetings; ability to maintain confidential information; experience with meetingpre-planning, documenting,
