We are a family in Mississauga looking for a kind, patient and reliable part-time nanny for our 5-year-old daughter, approximately 3 afternoons per week. Our daughter is autistic and non-speaking. She is a sweet and generally easy-going child who enjoys play, music and familiar routines. She attends school during the day and also receives speech and occupational therapy. We are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience supporting children with autism, developmental differences or communication needs. Experience as a respite worker, ECE, DSW, educational assistant, behavioural therapist or similar would be a big plus. The role would primarily involve after-school care, including picking her up from school if required, preparing/giving her a snack, playing and engaging with her, supporting her communication and daily routines, and keeping her protected and comfortable until we return.
