With a never-ending thirst for innovation and an increased workload, we’re calling on Toronto’s top tech talent to join the family!We are looking for an analytical, results-driven Software Engineer who will work with team members to develop new exciting features, as well as to maintain and improve our flagship product, consisting of 3 components: Back Office, POS, and Kiosk.The successful candidate will thrive in a high-energy workplace, should have a passion for development, driving code quality, taking ownership of new problems, and be able to think through and solve complex issues.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:●Collaborating with engineering, product management, and other teams in an agile environment to design, develop, test and maintain Volanté’s core platform●Delivering solutions effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines without compromising on the quality●Working on Volante’s flagship product,



including the development of new features and partner integrations, as well as the maintenance of its current operations●Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability●Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist team membersWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:Basic Qualifications●A completed Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field●1+ years of Back-End development would be an asset.●2+ years of experience and understanding CS fundamentals including algorithms, data structures and complexity analysis●An aptitude for problem-solving and strong analytical skills, results driven●Passion to learn and ready to make a real contributionPreferred Qualifications●Excellent communication skills – both in verbal and written correspondence●Experience with building scalable client-server enterprise software●Experience with object-oriented programming language – Java/J2EE●Experience with UNIX/LINUX workplace and strong knowledge of SQL – MySQL, MSSQL●Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results●Experience with Agile (Scrum and/or Kanban) methodologiesWHAT YOU’LL GET OUT OF IT:- Work with some awesome, fun-loving, and diverse people!- Perks – Health, Dental, Vision, Vacation/PTO, Free parking,
