This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid).ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the hardware reliability activities regarding the hardware products within the HEM Engineering perimeter, including FRACAS.Maintain the FRACAS process and its associated toolsMonitor the hardware reliability of the hardware systems in the fieldMaintain a table with all the hardware returns from the field and the reason for the returnsPrepare and run the monthly meeting of the Failure Review BoardReview and maintain the Reliability monitoring processConduct root cause analyses of failed hardware as required by stakeholdersWork closely with the groups in HEM Engineering to coordinate the activities related to the root cause analyses and reliability monitoringKey Requirements7+ years of electronics design and troubleshooting experienceStrong knowledge of: Cabling; Grounding techniques; Surge ProtectionExcellent knowledge of electrical engineering principles: Power circuits design; Analog and digital electronic circuits, including digital processors; Serial communications circuitsProficient in using engineering tools such as: Multi-meters; Oscilloscopes; Protocol AnalyzersExcellent analytical skillsAbility to design, simulate, and test electronic circuitsExcellent verbal skills to allow clear communication without ambiguityExcellent writing skills to allow documents to be prepared in a clear and concise format with sufficient information so that further clarification is not requiredThe ability to follow directions and work instructions,



and to use good judgment in the performance of assigned workThe ability to present pros and cons for various courses of actionTracks progress on all assigned tasksVerifies that all assigned work has been completed accuratelyBachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics EngineeringPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of electronics design experience, with a proven track recordOutstanding electrical/electronics troubleshooting skillsDesign experience in the Railway Signalling industryComprehensive knowledge of the SelTrack hardware productsDevising and running tests to verify functionality, identify and solve problemsExcellent understanding of the train interfaces and train operationsFamiliar with train maintenance, train components, sub-systems, and various train designs from different manufacturersStrong initiative, resourcefulness, and breadth of knowledge beyond the primary discipline in solving problemsPEOMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalentCompensationTotal Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive plan): $137,954 - $155,641BenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision plans - 100% of premiums are company-paidRetirement Savings Plan with a company contribution and a match, and without vesting periodCompany paid holidays - 3 weeks of vacation, Holiday closure, personal emergency leave days and sick daysMaternity/Parental/Adoption top up payAnnual Incentive planCompany provided Life Insurance, STD and Employee Assistance PlanThis posting relates to an existing vacancy.Our hiring process uses both human and technology-assisted (AI) tools to support candidate screening and assessment.
