As a Technician I - Security with Bosch Building Technologies, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. You’ll work with experienced technicians to gain hands‑on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV setups, and pre‑wiring projects.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.

Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including pre‑wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems.

Provide customer training and respond to technical inquiries.

Build relationships with clients and prospects for future opportunities.

Perform administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation.

Work night shifts when required based on project/service requirements.

Perform other tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.

Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting.

Experience with security systems, CCTV, and alarms.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members.

Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.

Able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.





Post‑secondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.

Basic knowledge of low voltage systems, CCTV, and pre‑wiring is desirable.

Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision.

Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.

Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.

Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop; use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on a keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Use of power tools will be required.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet).

Working Conditions

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, job sites; may require travel to/from job site locations; occasional exposure to construction equipment.

Noise level is usually moderate.





Confined space entry may be required.

High work may be required.
