Oxford Learning North Bay is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French teacher/tutor/coach to work part‑time in a small group setting.
Position Details
Employment Type: Part Time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Location: Oxford Learning North Bay, 343 Airport Road, North Bay, ON
Schedule: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday–Friday, Saturdays 10:00 am – 3:00 pm (availability required); commitment through June preferred, summer continuation preferred.
Responsibilities
Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
Conduct sessions in French only.
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and qualified manner at all times.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
Robust background in spoken and written French and English.
Experience teaching or tutoring French to students up to Grade 12 (Grade 9–12 preferred).
Strong English written and oral communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
Teaching certification an asset.
Good knowledge of current Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum.
Further Requirements
Post‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 7:00 pm) plus some Saturdays; must be able to commute to the location.
Vulnerable sector screening mandatory; relocation packages not available.
English language proficiency; French teaching duty only.
