Location: Hybrid - Kingston or Toronto, ONThe total target compensation (TTC) range, including salary and target bonus, is $125,440 - $174,720. We are actively seeking candidates to fill a current, open position. The Actuary contributes to achieving business goals by leading initiatives and advising on complex actuarial issues with a focus on valuation, capital management, and/or financial planning.What you’ll be working on- Develop, run and maintain Segregated Fund and Annuity models, valuation and reporting processes and produce and explain quarterly IFRS 17 and LICAT results- Lead the development, execution and analysis of complex actuarial projects, processes and models to support the functional area and achieve business goals and objectives- Lead research and analysis and provide advice on actuarial issues, methods and solutions to support business strategy development- Provide support and guidance to team members in delivery of departmental projects and process efficiencies- Effectively communicate, collaborate,



influence and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the development and delivery of actuarial programs- Continue professional development including business knowledge development to support career progression and role competency in sustaining the company’s pool of actuarial resourcesWhat we’re looking for you to have- 8 – 10 years of relevant work experience in the insurance/financial services industry- Completion of FSA and FCIA designation- Completion of a university degree with courses in mathematics, economics and/or business- Advanced mathematical and programming skills- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Advanced research, analysis and decision‑making skills- Ability to develop and negotiate innovative solutions- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities- Proven ability to provide guidance and share knowledge effectively- Advanced working knowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing software- Advanced working knowledge of actuarial applications (AXIS, Atlas, etc.)- Language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada, unless otherwise indicated in the position.- Our hiring process includes AI screening for keywords and minimum qualifications.
