As the Manager, Information Security you will be part of the Vendor Information Security Management team and conduct assessments on information security controls. In this role, you will measure the effectiveness of the security controls, identify control gaps, and provide business advice and guidance on the various IT risks and/or contract gaps associated with the supplier.This is an individual contributor position based out of the Toronto, ON or Waterloo, ON office with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office).Position ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Information Security risk assessments of new and existing vendors. Reviews include IT Controls, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery controls, Subcontractor reviews.Assist with the establishment and completion of risk control assessments of internal information systems and functionsProvide and exhibit an expert understanding of specific technical concepts and solutionsResearch and investigate independently new issues and innovations to maintain currency of technical expertiseIdentify problems, propose then execute solutionsPerform contract reviews working with Legal, as appropriateCollaborate with key vendors, partners and other teamsAssist with metrics creation and reportingImprove current processes adding value and efficienciesPerform site visits of vendors as required – virtually.Required Qualifications5 to 7 years of IT work experience, including 2 to 3 years IT auditing or equivalent experienceBachelor's degree or equivalentCISA is requiredCRISC or CISSP preferred but not requiredExcellent organization and planning abilitiesUnderstanding of IT controls, audit and risk managementAbility to present to and work with all levels of managementAbility to handle complex issuesProven ability to quickly and easily adapt to changes within the business and organizationAble to explain and bring business specific context to key IRM principlesUnderstands constraints that impact specific operations and decisions in their immediate area,
