Hybrid work pattern: Onsite 3 days per week (Mon–Wed) – required.Main responsibilitiesScope & Impact: Manage a team of up to 10 engineers, including ICs at higher levels. Drive the technical vision for a specialized domain within the R&D technology landscape. Deliver high-quality solutions within a defined scope while contributing to the broader engineering strategy.Prioritization & Execution: Organize teamwork, set goals, and hold the team accountable. Monitor pace and escalate when necessary. Empower team members to own their work and take on unowned or undesirable work to move faster. Align team priorities with departmental objectives and strategic initiatives.Technical Excellence: Be accountable for the team’s technical output. Uphold a high technical bar while making pragmatic trade-offs. Develop deep technical expertise in domains critical to R&D innovation. Establish best practices and technical standards within scope.Coaching & Development: Lead coaching and growth through 1:1s and career planning. Responsible for recruiting, performance management, promotions, and employee development in partnership with leadership.Leadership & Collaboration: Set vision, strategy, and values within the team and across the Digital R&D Accelerator. Manage vendors to ensure delivery aligned with requirements and design. Collaborate with product managers, scientists, and customers to define and execute the team’s roadmap.
