Norwich Gas and Convenience, a division of Granger Holdings, is a Shell retail gas and convenience retail store in Norwich, Ontario. Opened in 2020 the store has served customers in the Norwich area for 6 years.

Opportunity

We are actively recruiting for three existing vacancies, customer focused, part time Gas Station Sales Associates to join our team on the weekend shift. The successful candidates will be responsible for the sale of fuel and other automotive products, as well as all in-store merchandise, including tobacco products, lottery tickets and sundries and will be responsible for processing cash, credit and debit card transactions.

Additional responsibilities will include:
Greeting customers who enter the establishment
Cleaning and performing maintenance of the property both indoors and outdoors
Ensuring that restricted products (e.g. tobacco, lottery tickets)



are sold only to customers that are of the required age by requesting appropriate identification
Counting money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
Compiling and maintain non-monetary reports and records
Keeping periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
Stocking shelves and coolers
Changing fuel prices on signage

The Ideal Candidate
Previous customer service and/or retail experience
Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
Positive personality and demeanor
Solid conflict resolution, negotiation and objection handling skills
Ability to work without direct supervision
Solid communication skills
Basic math skills
Maintain accuracy and composure while working quickly to meet a high customer volume
Self-motivated
