Senior NPI Product EngineerLocation: Ottawa, Type: Full time, Posted Today, Job Requisition ID: R030409ResponsibilitiesLead cross‑functional technical efforts that transition new optoelectronic products from R&D; into full‑scale production, ensuring alignment with design intent.Manage build readiness by defining prototype requirements, coordinating explicit‑to‑build activities, and supporting manufacturing partners through each build phase.Oversee production performance, including yield tracking, cost‑reduction planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.Guide failure analysis and troubleshooting activities with internal engineers and contract manufacturers.Define and maintain production test and process requirements in partnership with R&D;, Operations, and manufacturing teams.Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring manufacturability and compliance with assembly standards.Drive pilot builds, production forecasting integration, and packaging design improvements, including sustainability and recycling initiatives.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Physics, Opto‑Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.7+ years of experience in the design, manufacture, or test of optoelectronic products.Proven experience launching complex optoelectronic module products into production environments.Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management and end‑to‑end NPI processes.Demonstrated ability in solving technical challenges in fast‑paced,
