Elevate your academic career at the University of Ottawa as an Assistant Professor in Franco-Ontarian and Canadian Francophone Literatures. This position focuses on teaching and scholarly contributions, available in a tenure-track format.
The University’s Department of French is looking for a candidate to teach both undergraduate and graduate students in French. You will contribute to a vibrant academic community through research, service, and supervision of graduate research projects. This role requires expertise in minority Francophone literature and encourages engagement through course development and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students at undergraduate and graduate levels in French
• Conduct research and publish findings in peer-reviewed formats
• Mentor and supervise graduate student research
• Engage in university service and departmental initiatives
• Develop new academic programs
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Francophone Literatures by July 1, 2027
• Teaching experience in higher education
• Solid research credentials with publications
• Interest in program and partnership development
• Advocate for pedagogical best practices
