The Project Accountant (PA) is the owner of the financial operations of the projects assigned to them. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining the financial integrity of projects from initiation through closeout working closely with project manager (PMs) and project coordinators (PCs), the PA ensures accurate project setup, disciplined cost control, timely invoicing, effective accounts receivable management and concise financial project reporting. The PA is a valued member of the project team, and plays a critical role in identifying financial risk, supporting recovery actions, and safeguarding project profitability.
