Be a vital part of the Central Intake Team at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic as an Assessment Worker. This full time role focuses on providing comprehensive support to individuals facing trauma.
The Assessment & Client Support Worker will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, implementing risk management protocols, and ensuring client safety through effective communication and referrals. This position requires someone with a strong background in social services and a dedication to serving women and gender-diverse clients who have experienced violence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough and efficient client intakes
• Assess client needs and implement safety plans
• Provide support with Legal Aid applications




• Refer clients to essential community resources
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver services
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in law, social work, or a related field
• At least two years’ experience with survivors of violence
• Familiarity with legal and social service systems
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities
