Oxford Learning Edmonton Windermere is seeking a part‑time High‑School English & Social Studies Teacher/Tutor to work in our learning centre.
As a teacher‑tutor you will teach up to three students at a time in a pre‑planned curriculum, apply our proprietary methodologies, and maintain comprehensive post‑lesson notes and daily communications.
Responsibilities
Teach up to three students simultaneously at different levels.
Deliver instruction in person during scheduled evening and Saturday sessions.
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and qualified manner at all times.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent certification in a relevant field.
Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
Teaching certification is an asset.
Robust knowledge of the current Kindergarten‑to‑Grade‑12 curriculum.
Experience
Some experience teaching/tutoring at the K‑12 or equivalent level.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
Ability to multitask with up to three students simultaneously.
Schedule & Compensation
Evenings (4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday‑Friday).
Saturday (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
Salary: from $18.00 per hour.
Optional continuation through the summer.
Location & Commute
In‑person role located at 107‑6055 Andrews Way SW, Edmonton, AB. Candidates must be able to commute to the location and reside within a short commute of the Edmonton area. No relocation package is offered.
Other Requirements
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
