Position Requirements
Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
Available for a minimum of 2 evenings per week
Commitment through the end of the school year (June 30th), with possibility of continuing through the summer
In‑person instruction; remote teaching is not supported
Ability to commute to the designated location – relocation packages are not available
Mandatory vulnerable‑sector screening
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
Teaching certification is an asset
Good knowledge of the current Grade 9 to Grade 12 curriculum
Experience
Some experience teaching or tutoring at Grade 9 to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
Strong written and oral communication skills in English and ability to guide students’ understanding
Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time
Ability to teach French is highly desired
Responsibilities
Teach up to three students at a time at different levels, both online and in‑person
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
Maintain a friendly and skilled manner at all times
