Join FNHA as a Primary Care Registered Nurse in Matsqui, BC, delivering compassionate, trauma-informed healthcare to First Nations communities. Your nursing expertise will lead to positive health outcomes and cultural safety.
This position requires active participation in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You will utilize a depth of understanding in cultural principles as you provide exceptional primary care services and address client health needs. With a focus on holistic wellness, you'll help create an inclusive and protected healthcare space for First Nations patients, drawing on both Western and Indigenous practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and document patient health and conditions • Provide culturally sensitive healthcare services • Coordinate team-based care initiatives • Engage in health promotion and education • Foster collaborative approaches in service delivery
Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or similar qualification • Active registration as a Registered Nurse • 3 years’ experience in community health • Training in cultural humility and anti-Indigenous racism • Class 5 BC Driver’s License required
