Job DescriptionThe Senior Designer provides design services for the Manager, Engineering & Technical Services, Mechanical and Structural Engineers and the Operations group. This is to enable the implementation of project work in accordance with safety, codes and standards, schedule, quality and cost control.ResponsibilitiesProduce drawings from appropriate software accurately and in a timely manner as per specifications and project schedulesPreliminary and final design of structures, fixtures and components to support shaft sinking operationsEnsure drawings are produced in compliance with legislation, regulations, manufacturer specifications and safety policiesCheck drawings done by other Designers or Engineers-in-TrainingConducts product and/or process research as required for projects with guidance of Manager,



Engineering and Technical Services and make recommendationsParticipate in discussions regarding design and risk management of designsTravel to sites to inspect, take measurements and/or attend technical discussions as neededQualificationsEducationRequired: College diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technician orPreferred: College diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering TechnologistWork ExperienceRequired: 5 years in mining related environmentPreferred:10 years’ experience in mining with shaft sinking applicationsBase Salary$85,000.00 - $117,000.00 AnnuallyRedpath is committed to an workplace that is barrier-free.
