Position Overview

Part‑time Elementary French & English Teacher/Tutor at Oxford Learning Hamilton, Hamilton, Ontario.
Employment type: Part Time. Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
Teach online and in‑person.
Work in‑person in the learning centre (no online teaching; all lessons are pre‑planned).
Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Fill in post‑lesson notes.
Complete daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
Teaching certification an asset.
Valuable knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.
Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level.
Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.




Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Schedule and Commitment
After‑school and evening hours (3:50 pm – 7:30 pm) Monday to Friday.
Saturdays (10:00 am – 1:00 pm).
Commitment until the end of the term in June, with preference for continued work through the summer.
Must be able to commute to Hamilton, Ontario; relocation packages are not available.
Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
