Role Description The Commercial Journeyman Plumber will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and related piping for commercial and industrial heating and mechanical equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing plumbing and mechanical issues, troubleshooting and repairing components, installing and connecting pipes and fixtures, and ensuring systems comply with relevant codes and safety standards. The role involves working closely with customers on-site, coordinating with team members and supervisors, completing work orders, maintaining accurate service records, and following company safety procedures. This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area, with primary work at customer and project sites and some administrative or planning tasks that can be completed from home.

Qualifications

- Robust plumbing skills with experience in commercial and industrial environments, including the ability to read and interpret plumbing and mechanical schematics.
- Proficiency working with pipe systems, including installation, fitting, soldering, threading, and repairs on various materials (e.g., copper, steel, PVC).




- Experience in maintenance and repair of plumbing and mechanical systems, with skill in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Effective customer service abilities, including clear communication, professional on-site conduct, and respectful interaction with clients and team members.
- Valid Journeyperson Plumber certification (or equivalent) and up-to-date knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, ideally with experience working under COR or similar safety programs.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and complete documentation accurately.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within the Greater Calgary area.
- Physical capability to perform job tasks, including lifting equipment, working in confined spaces, and operating tools safely.
