As an Assistant Teacher, you will work part-time at local YMCA Before & After School Programs. This role includes monitoring children’s well-being, ensuring safety, and implementing engaging programming. Your strengths in communication and relationships will help foster a supportive environment for families and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety and supervision of children in a group
• Engage actively in play-based learning activities
• Adhere to the YMCA Curriculum guidelines
• Maintain skilled communication with parents and volunteers
• Assist children with varying requirements and exceptional behaviors
Requirements:
• At least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Standard First Aid and CPR certification required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
