Industrial Meat Cutter – Brooks, AB
Location: Brooks, Alberta.
Responsibilities
Cut beef or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging, de‑bone meat, and operate saws.
Cut meat into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or wholesale use.
Work in a variety of settings including wet, humid, cold, hot, inside or outside.
Handle animal blood and various parts/contents of a butchered animal.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as provided by the employer.
Qualifications
High school diploma.
Completion of a program in industrial meat cutting or 1–2 years of experience as an industrial butcher.
Basic English skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Repetitive tasks.
Handling heavy loads.
Physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand–eye coordination.
Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
Work site setting: noisy, odors, hot, cold/refrigerated.
Type of Equipment
Knives, saws, power cutting tools.

Compensation and Perks
Earn Competitive Starting Wages: $23.35–$29.70, 40.00 hours per week as per collective agreement.
