Support at-risk youth towards stable employment by addressing their mental health needs as a Mental Health Specialist. Provide crucial therapeutic services that empower and stabilize participants for job success.
In this impactful role, you will collaborate with Youth Employment Coaches to offer tailored mental health support to young individuals facing challenges like trauma and housing instability. You will be instrumental in crisis management and creating workplace accommodations, ensuring that therapy is effectively aligned with employment objectives. Your deep understanding of mental health will help carve out pathways for youth eager to break free from their barriers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver therapeutic services aimed at enhancing employment readiness • Work with coaches to manage emotional wellness • Coordinate intervention strategies in crisis situations • Create psychological assessments and reports • Conduct psychoeducational workshops as needed
Requirements: • Master’s degree in Social Work or related discipline • At least 3 years in youth therapy roles • Registered with a recognized skilled body in Alberta • Knowledgeable in trauma and related disorders • Preferred experience with high-risk youth environments
