High School Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Mississauga Meadowvale is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Position Requirements

- Work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm ‑ 8:00 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am ‑ 1:00 pm). Commitment until the end of the term in June is required; continuing through the summer is even better. Reliable attendance is a must.
- This role is in‑person and requires the ability to commute to the location; relocation packages are not available.
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

- Currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
- Teaching certification is an asset.
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math curriculum, including senior math, advanced functions, data management, calculus, and vectors.

Experience

- Some experience teaching or tutoring math at Grade 9‑12 level (or equivalent).
- Solid English written and oral communication skills.
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.

Responsibilities (Position Details)





- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
- Deliver lessons in‑person, following Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Fill in post‑lesson notes.
- Complete daily student communication updates.
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Job Type

Part‑time.

Salary

$20 ‑ $21 per hour.

Schedule

- Day 1: Mondays and Wednesdays (4:00 pm ‑ 8:00 pm).
- Day 2: Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00 pm ‑ 8:00 pm).
- Saturday availability.
