About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President, Enterprise Legal to lead its legal function with a focus on strategic oversight of corporate and commercial law, procurement legal support, corporate governance, compliance, privacy, information governance, and enterprise legal policy. The successful candidate will be a key member of the legal leadership team, providing practical, risk-based legal advice, and driving legal operational excellence. This role is pivotal in supporting the Board, executive leadership, and functional business groups, and requires a leader with a strong background in legal, governance, commercial, compliance, and enterprise risk issues.

Enterprise Legal position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' of legal experience, with a background that includes leading law firms, in-house legal departments, Crown corporations, public sector organizations, financial institutions, or similarly regulated environments. The role demands a skilled with deep expertise in corporate governance, procurement, commercial contracting, compliance, policy development, and enterprise legal risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising executive teams, designing and implementing legal frameworks, and managing legal operations. Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills are essential, as is a commitment to the company's public interest mandate. Bilingualism in French and English is strongly preferred.
