Attention L&D; nurses with strong newborn stabilization and higher-acuity experience. This is not a routine Labor and Delivery assignment. We’re seeking a confident RN who can care for unstable newborns while transport to a higher level of care is arranged. Although the unit operates with a Level I nursery, nurses may need to provide Level II or higher newborn care temporarily. The right candidate must be comfortable recognizing deterioration, initiating stabilization and supporting the newborn until transport arrives. Assignment Details:

Provide nursing care throughout labor,
delivery and recovery Monitor maternal and fetal status Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies Assist with deliveries and immediate postpartum care Perform newborn assessments and stabilization Support higher-acuity newborns awaiting transport Administer medications and treatments according to orders Educate mothers and families Maintain accurate and timely documentation Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary teams Preferred Clinical Background:
Solid recent Labor and Delivery experience NICU experience, or Experience in a Level II or higher nursery Confidence caring for unstable newborns Ability to work independently in a critical-access environment
