The City of Vernon is currently hiring referees for volleyball leagues that operate on evenings and weekends. The successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring games, enforcing rules, and providing a positive experience for all participants. Key Responsibilities:
• Referee volleyball games and enforce established rules
• Score keep when needed during league play




• Monitor activities and track attendance of participants
• Ensure participant welfare throughout all activities
• Prepare and inspect equipment for readiness
Requirements:
• Acceptable Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector
• Completion of Grade 9 required
• Experience in participating in sports
• Sport-specific referee training preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams
