As a key member of the Service team, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic Unlicensed plays a vital role in keeping our rental fleet and customer equipment operating safely, reliably, and effectively.What You’ll Be DoingMaintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.Troubleshoot equipment issues and accurately estimate repair costs.Inspect rental equipment to ensure proper operation and identify faults or potential failures.Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts, components, and systems using hand and power tools.Test repaired equipment to confirm proper performance and manufacturer specifications compliance.Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards.Clean, lubricate,

we offer long-term security and opportunity.Purpose-driven work:You’ll help build the communities around you!What We're Looking ForMechanical Experience:An experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic or a 3rd/4th year apprentice with strong diagnostic and failure analysis skills. Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment including Genie, Skyjack and CAT.Customer Service Oriented:Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued.Computer Skills:Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAT systems (ET and SIS would be considered an asset).Team Player:Ability to work effectively within a team environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.Independent Worker:Ability to work independently with excellent time management and organizational skills.Endurance:Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly up to 50lbs.Safety Focused:A robust commitment to safe work practices, environmental responsibility, and Battlefield’s health and safety policies.Technical understanding of CAT equipment would be considered an asset.Flexibility to support on-call schedules and adapt to business demands.Hydraulic system knowledge.Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized shop environment.Ownership of personal tools required for the role.Apprentices are encouraged to apply.Our Commitment to InclusionBattlefield Equipment Rentals is committed to creating an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive.
