Part‑Time French Teacher/Tutor

Oxford Learning Mississauga East – Mississauga, Ontario

Employment Type: Part‑time | Pay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour | Schedule: Evenings (Monday‑Thursday, 4:00‑8:00 pm) and Saturday mornings (10:00‑1:00 pm)

Responsibilities
Teach up to three students at a time in a small‑group setting, using the provided curriculum and lessons.
Conduct all sessions in French (in‑person).
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
Maintain a friendly and qualified manner at all times.
Support students in developing academic and study skills to improve their French proficiency.

Qualifications
Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
Ability to teach students at Grade 9 and up (Grade 12 preferred).
Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (or fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience).




Prior experience teaching/tutoring French to students in the Grade 9‑12 range.
Robust communication skills and the ability to multitask with up to three students at once.
Teaching certification is an asset.
Good knowledge of the current Grade 9‑12 French core curriculum.
Vulnerable‑sector screening mandatory.
Relocation packages are not available – candidates must reside in or within a short commute of Mississauga.

Evenings: Monday to Thursday, 4.00 pm – 8.00 pm.

Commitment until the end of the term in June; extending into summer preferred.
