Bent Taco Kitchen Manager

Collingwood?s most unique and exciting restaurant is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to take the reins! For over 10 years, Bent Taco has been part of Collingwood?s fabric, serving exceptional MexiCali-inspired cuisine in one of the area?s most vibrant and distinctive spaces. We?re looking for someone who is energetic, positive, team-oriented and passionate about outstanding food and memorable guest experiences. Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
Cook on the line ? this is a hands-on, working Kitchen Manager position
Continually train and develop kitchen staff to ensure consistently excellent food
Ensure all food, health and workplace safety standards are met or exceeded
Assist with ongoing menu development, daily features and event planning
Manage inventory control, including portion control, food costing, weekly inventory counts and invoice entry
Scheduling - focus on labour management
Support team building and maintain a positive, respectful kitchen workplace




Work closely with the management team to provide an excellent guest experience

Qualifications
Minimum three years of line-cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant
Minimum one year of proven supervisory or kitchen leadership experience
Valid Food Handler/Food Safety Certification
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills a must
Experience with Southern California-Mexican cuisine is an asset
Team-first mentality and a positive attitude
Computer proficiency
Excellent knife skills
Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
