Join the University of Toronto Mississauga as a Sessional Lecturer I for CHM373H5. This position focuses on imparting essential skills in protein characterization and chromatography through in-person lectures.
As a part of UofT's esteemed Chemistry department, you will instruct students in advanced laboratory techniques, utilizing your mastery of the subject from recent research and teaching experience. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, developing assessments, and providing essential guidance to TAs and students. This role requires a commitment to excellence and student engagement throughout the semester.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct weekly lectures on advanced biochemical methods
• Create and evaluate course assessments and tests
• Guide and support Teaching Assistants in course delivery
• Manage student grades and feedback effectively
• Interact with students during office hours
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in a relevant Chemistry discipline
• Recent research experience proving subject expertise
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching similar courses
• Effective communication for engaging students
• Willingness to teach from January 2027 to April 2027
