Rocky Mountain House is a friendly, multicultural town that provides residents with an outstanding quality of life in an active community. You must check out the Rocky/Nordegg Trail and the West Country for a majestic mountain experience without the congestion of the national parks.

As a Service Worker II, you will be responsible for readying supplies, and cleaning/disinfecting instruments and specialty equipment for immediate use/reuse by healthcare staff. You will distribute and replenish patient care supplies, perform quality control tests on equipment and record maintenance data. You may also transport patients (clients/residents), equipment, lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required. In addition,



you will ensure that patient care areas and other assigned areas are accurately stocked and that specialty equipment required by the healthcare staff is available.

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Possesses a basic understanding of cleaning and disinfection, as well as inventory management. Applicants must have, at minimum, basic computer skills, such as filling out electronic checklists and forms. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, understand and follow written and oral directions in English. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Physical requirements of the job include lifting to 80 pounds, mostly standing and walking during each shift, and the ability to bend, crouch, and twist without restriction. Preference will be given to those applicants that have previous experience performing cleaning duties in a hospital or institution, as well as knowledge of medical equipment. BLS - healthcare provider level.
