Join Coast Mental Health as a casual Nurse (RN) in Vancouver. Provide key psychiatric care and crisis intervention within a supportive housing setting, assisting clients in their recovery journey.
This role involves delivering direct care under the guidance of the Program Director as part of a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in nursing theory and practice, with expertise in mental health and addiction support.
Your contributions will be pivotal in meeting the needs of clients facing various challenges linked to mental illness and homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric assessments and crisis intervention
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care
Implement and manage individualized care plans
Maintain communication regarding client progress and needs
Provide therapeutic support through various nursing practices
Requirements:
RN with a degree from an approved nursing program
3+ years of experience in mental health and addiction
Valid First Aid certificate and Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License
Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
Physical ability to fulfill nursing duties
