What Is The Chance?As part of a consortium agreement Aecon Nuclear and Siemens Energy have been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Turbine Generator Refurbishment units 5‑8 at Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. Beginning in 2026 Aecon will support the validation phase, construction work package preparation, component procurement and construction execution.What You’ll Do HereParticipate in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure transition between project estimates and baselinesAssist in project set‑up, converting bids into baseline budgets, reconciling gaps between bids and contractsEstablish and maintain the CBS and control accounts in alignment with baseline budgets and alignment with Schedule and financial reporting.Manage chart of accounts library to ensure consistency and alignment with established budgets; ensure WBS and CBS alignmentLiaise with external groups (Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Construction, etc.) to regulate, control and audit inputs into Project Controls reportsMaintain project status update reports, forecast reports, and project dashboards; ensure timely issuance to internal and external stakeholders (per client requirements)Prepare Earned Value Management KPIs to assess project performanceCreate customized reports or dashboards to adapt to evolving risks and project needsDevelop and maintain resource plans,



ensuring cost and schedule alignmentRegularly conduct detailed analysis on project performance key metrics and propose corrective actions to maintain performance/productivity; flag issues to project leadershipRun periodical detailed labor rate analysis to gauge impact of economic factors and actualize cost multiplier assumptions; update forecasts accordinglyEnhance Project Controls tools and templates that ensure compliance with contract requirements and internal processesProvide inputs and improve internal guidelines and processes for Project Controls in general and specifically for Cost ControlDevelop and maintain a change log to track all internal and external changes and monitor progress through the change management processReview the contract to ensure compliance with contract conditions regarding all Project Controls requirementsEnsure cost forecasts are updated timely and accurately; ensure forecasting is informed by performance KPIs and project trends and ensure timely closure of closed cost accountsCoordinate with Finance and Accounting teams to support project level financial forecasting and month end reportingLiaise with Procurement teams to ensure appropriate Subcontractors and Purchase order management,



accurate incurred cost reporting via timely accruals and invoicingPrepare and update project cash flow forecasts in alignment with the project scheduleConduct Cost Risk Analysis periodically based on Risk management and Schedule progress dataWhat You Bring To The Team8‑12 years of Project Controls experienceCollege and/or University degree in related field, or applicable work experienceApplied knowledge of the "Earned Value" principles and cost engineering/cost controlApplied knowledge of Project Management and Project Controls principles, including experience with concepts of PMBOKExperience working in SAP systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel & VisioIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Primavera P6Ability to produce read and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves/reportsOrganizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high‑pressure work site environmentInterpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employeesWillingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledgeDetail oriented and customer focusedPay Range: $99,000 - $149,000 per yearReason for Vacancy: NewAecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
