Source Office Furniture is looking for a hands‑on, people‑first Store Manager in our Calgary, AB location to lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team.

About The Role
The Store Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the store and creating an exceptional experience for both customers and employees. This includes overseeing opening and closing procedures, maintaining strong product knowledge, and providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and development to the store team.

As a hands‑on leader, the Store Manager is responsible for managing the many facets of the business in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Success in this role requires the ability to empower team members to take initiative and deliver results, navigate sensitive situations with professionalism, and effectively balance competing priorities while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

What You’ll Do
Staff Management

Supervise and direct the activities of employees, ensuring excellent customer service and the development of team members

Monitor local competitors and help acquire new business through networking activities both inside and outside the store location

Create a sales culture that increases sales, fosters and develops a consultative selling environment and improves customer service

Work collaboratively with HR for recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes.

Provide Director of Sales with updates on sales activities as well as updates regarding orders created by sales representatives

Sales and Support

Support sales representatives by responding to their inquiries, providing information regarding products and updating them on any changes or developments in the product line

Manage the cash out process and oversee the purchasing of merchandise

Distribute requests for quotes from clients to sales representatives and follow-up

Assist with sales on the showroom floor by consulting with clients and supporting the sales reps as needed

Engage with clients to complete sales in the event of high volumes or staff shortage

Back up for Outside Sales Representatives when needed

Coordination and Administration





Ensure that all products found in promotional flyers are displayed on the showroom floor and priced accordingly

Manage all administrative duties related to the ordering and transfer of products between locations

Provide authorization for merchandise returns

Ensure pricing on clearance items is accurate and optimally displayed

Store Operations

Meet regularly with the Warehouse Manager to maintain a strong understanding of warehouse operations and ensure effective coordination between store and warehouse activities.

Work with Delivery Coordinator to ensure we are able to deliver our product in an efficient manner

Maintain third party relationships as it pertains to operations or facility

What You Bring

5+ years of management experience leading warehouse, sales, administration teams

Strong preference for candidates with prior store management experience in the office furnishing industry

Lead, motivate, and support employees to achieve strong results

Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for their performance

Manage multiple areas of the business and balance competing priorities

Address employee concerns and performance issues in a timely and professional manner

Be comfortable having difficult conversations and providing explicit, constructive feedback

Coach employees to improve their skills, confidence, and performance

Work closely with other departments to solve problems and keep the business running smoothly

Strong Microsoft Office Suite software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.
